If you’re looking to learn how to do something, don’t forget your local adult education offerings! Your local authority may run courses for adults (“evening classes”, although not always in the evening.) Colleges and universities often do the same. The key thing, once you find a course you want to do is book early! Especially for local authority adult education, course enrolment is the key metric for whether a course runs or not. If it’s getting close and there are too few students, courses get cancelled and, eventually, may no longer be offered. Tutors are usually freelance and need/deserve certainty of income. If you see something interesting, ENROL (and encourage anyone else you know too.)
